When we spoke about the kind of film we would see, I initially thought that it would be a bit dull and boring, probably because of the period.I thought that the quality would be quite low, but i was wrong because I can honestly say that I have never seen such a movie  in my life. Pride and Prejudice is an impressing film not only because of the story.The actors are very expressive in their stage movements, giving believeable performances. I've enjoyed it a lot

After first seeing the film ,I was amazed. But the Documentary was even more impressing, because the actors were shown behind the scenes. Every feeling, every gesture has his own meaning, and I realized that only after watching the interviews .The actors put lot of effort into their work and the results are beautiful. In that time the gestures were so formal, and you were not allowed to  have direct skin contact with anyone; The century is very well presented even if the clothes are a bit modern for that period because the director didn't like the previous style of clothing. I think that the director made all the right changes to the story ,because the dresses make the film even more glamorous, giving a wonderful color to the atmosphere.

BEFORE

Before seeing the documentary I didn’t pay attention to some important details. Firstly, I was surprised about how much I enjoyed the movie and how much I learnt about that period.What I liked the most was the importance they gave to every second spent with the one they loved, and how they appreciate the moments. Moreover the relationship between family members like the Bennet's was a special one.

AFTER

After Seeing the documentary I realized I didn’t pay much attention to the small gestures .Everything was explained so clear. I also found out how difficult was to make this movie. The documentary gave me a better view on that period. There were more situations which describes perfectly the mentality of the people living in the 18th century as well as their lifestyle and priorities

Before :For me,the film was extremely good.Not only did it have lovely cast which was perfectly chosen by the way,but the whole movie was so emotional.The story was absolutely gorgeous,I felt like I was living together with the characters.I also think a very important aspect is that they make you think about how radically things have changed since then.It perfectly described how they lived in those times.I can say I didn’t pay too much attention to gestures or clothes because the action was so capturing that I couldn’t focus on too many parts one at a time.It is in my top 5 favourite movies.It is worth seeing .

After : I believe Pride and Prejudice is the kind of movie you never get bored, even if you  watch it  again and again.You can’t observe everything from the first time you see it so it surprises you each time.I think that after listening to the people who created the film,I started to pay much more attention on the gestures of the actors.I was really impressed by  Darcy’s attitude,especially in the scene where he first touched Lizzie’s hand.

     BEFORE

For me the movie had the effect of a flashback in the 19Th century England .The idea of the whole movie is a love story but it also shows the concept of marriage , balls and generally the way of living in that period .
The movie was easy to follow because of the storyline which was natural. I enjoyed the movie because it was truly captivating.

AFTER

After I watched the documentaries about the film I realized it had a complex construction and that it had been really hard to film. The documentary explained every gesture that Mr.Darcy made towards Lizzie .It helped me understand more about the period as well as some important events which I first of all thought to be unimportant.
Pride & Prejudice is and will be an eternal novel and movie. It is a love story in a period hard to forget.

BEFORE: I mainly liked the character of Elizabeth ,she was a very strong woman considered the times.I also enjoyed the love story , which is not difficult to understand and the action was easy to follow until the end . Pride and prejudice is a story about real situations and problems, consequently we can each find ourselves in the characters.

AFTER: I watched the commentaries my opinion on the movie has improved because I noticed the hard work behind the story.The first time I watched the movie I didn't pay attention to the details such as the dresses or the dance.Then I liked the way it took me "back in time", the good performance made me feel like living in that period ,it also helped me understand the way British people used to live in those times.

BEFORE: I remember that  when the teacher told us that we were going to  watch another movie specific to  the Victorian period, I thought that will be very similar to “Sense and sensibility”.  After a while I realized that the story is much more interesting and intense.

I was impressed by Elisabeth’s character, because not only is she quite an unordinary Victorian girl, she is much more clever than the others of her age. I liked the fact that in spite of the pressure of getting a husband, she always insisted on marrying out of love. The relationships between the members of the Bennet family is a special one. The only fact that I didn’t like was Mrs. Bennet’s behavior, because she seemed quite annoying. The love story is fascinating, the scene when Mr. Darcy touches Elisabeth’s hand is wonderful but my favorite moment is the kiss in the rain.

AFTER: seeing the whole movie, I  was impressed not only by the romantic story but also by the period in which it takes place. I found out some aspects which at  first sight I didn’t notice. I understood that life that in that time was not easy for a family with no heir. That is why Mrs. Bennet was so anxious to marry off her five daughters before Mr. Bennet dies. There were many situations which perfectly describe the mentality of  people living in the Victorian period. the movie has several moments which are trying to suggest something rather than just showing it in a dull manner . As an example ,I now understand why balls were so important to them, especially because they ware the only place where a young lady could discuss and flirt with a gentlemen. The film is full of emotional moments describing the life in the 19^th Century.
